Level 3 Vocational
A full triple award Level 3 BTEC course is equivalent to 3 A Levels in terms of the programme of study. Universities are not only obliged to consider Level 3 Vocational qualifications but many are now actively requesting this as part of the suite of subject qualifications for new applicants.
A Level Pathway with a Btec option:
Primarily for students wishing to take four AS Levels. Students are allowed to substitute one or two A Level subject option for a single or a double BTEC Level 3 course of their choosing. This pathway is accessible to students who have achieved a minimum of five A*-C GCSE grades including English and Mathematics.
BTEC L3 Pathway with the A Level option:
Primarily for students wishing to take Level 3 BTEC courses. Students can opt for the full triple Btec Level 3 award (equivalent to 3 A Levels) or combine a double award with one A Level. This pathway is accessible to students that have achieved a minimum of five A*-C GCSE grades.
